Right in the middle of Yongin,
you'll find Greece — Santorini

If I told you there's a piece of Greece in Yongin, you'd probably ask what I'm talking about. But it's true. Head toward Bukri, Namsa-eup, Cheoin-gu, up toward the upper part of Samin-dong Reservoir, and a cluster of white-and-blue buildings suddenly appears. Yongin Santorini Resort Farm. The name itself openly borrows from Greece's Santorini, and even for a dragon who's watched over downtown Yongin for a long time, this twist felt pretty fresh. I never expected a scene this exotic to unfold in the middle of a quiet farming village by a reservoir.

Upstream of Samin-dong Reservoir, the Waterside View Catches Your Eye First

This farm sits upstream of Samin-dong Reservoir. Being right by the water, the air here noticeably feels different, and the natural scenery surrounding it gives off a calm, easy feeling. Drive out from downtown toward Namsa-eup and the landscape gradually turns quieter and quieter — and right at the end of that, those white buildings suddenly appear. That contrast is the real charm of this place. With the reservoir, the mountains, and Greek-style buildings all fitting into one frame, it's a spot that photo lovers in particular will appreciate.

From Lodging to Barbecue to a Cafe — the Greek Concept Is Everywhere

Inside the farm, there's lodging built in a Greek Santorini concept, along with an outdoor barbecue area, so you can stay with family or friends and spend time grilling outdoors. There's also a conference facility, so some visitors come for group gatherings or workshops. With a cafe on site too, it also works as a spot to stop by just for the Santorini-style atmosphere without staying overnight.

That said, I don't have the details on room types, lodging rates, or the exact operating hours in the material I've got, so I can't pin those down for you here. I'd recommend contacting them directly before your visit to check on reservations or how to use the facilities. That way you can time your trip right without a wasted drive.

“

If you're looking for a taste of Greece right in the middle of Yongin, I'd point to this spot upstream of the reservoir without a moment's hesitation.

YONGI's Tip · I'd recommend checking the exact operating hours, rates, and how to book lodging in advance before you visit. It's tucked inside Namsa-eup, so enter the exact address (Bukri, Namsa-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do) into your navigation and leave with plenty of time to spare.

If you only ever stick to downtown Yongin, it's easy to miss a place like this entirely. Go see the white-and-blue scenery upstream of the reservoir for yourself, at least once. I'll bring back more photos from here next time.
